When I Don't Know What to Pray

I know that many people have questions about what to pray. If you’re a believer, you want to pray the right prayer so that all your prayers get answered. But that doesn’t change the fact that sometimes you don’t know what to pray for.

Let’s make this simple: sometimes, you won’t know what to pray, and God made it this way for a reason. Our intimacy with the Lord is often based on our need for Him. Our need for Him draws us closer to Him. We don’t have all the answers, making us vulnerable before Him, which is good because it causes us to trust that He will pray for us when we don’t know how to pray.

The best part is that we have Jesus, our advocate with the Father, who always knows what to pray for. He is continually in the presence of God, making intercession for us according to the will of God.

As long as He is praying for us, everything will be fine. So, what must you do when you don’t know what to pray? Sometimes, just being still and believing in God is the best answer. I have learned that in time, God will let you in on what He is praying so that you can be a partaker of the fruit of an answered prayer.

When I don’t know what to pray, I trust the Spirit of truth and watch God do the work.

All things are possible to him, who believes.
