The traditional idea of being saved is to accept Jesus in your life, and you are saved. That seems simple enough, and it is true. But salvation is meant to be something far more powerful. Every time you experience God, it is an opportunity to be saved.
Salvation is more about your experience with God than your deliverance from evil.
Why would you only want to claim salvation as a one-time experience when you can get to know God intimately by being saved continually? Whenever you need God, He reveals Himself as another part of salvation.
Do you want the fullness of God's deliverance for you or just a part?
So let's ask that question again: when are you saved?
When you believe in your heart, you are saved. Mark 16:16
When you call upon the name of the Lord, you are saved. Romans 10:13
When you repent, you are saved. 2 Corinthians 7:10
When you confess the Lord with your mouth, you are saved. Romans 10:8-13
When you enter in through the door (Jesus Christ), you are saved. John 10:9
When you wash your heart from wickedness, you are saved. Jeremiah 4:14
When you are baptized, you are saved. Mark 16:16; 1 Peter 3:21
When you receive the gift of God (grace), you are saved. Ephesians 2:8
When you receive the gospel, you are saved. 1 Corinthians 15:1-2; Romans 1:16
When you look (turn) unto God, you are saved. Isaiah 45:22
When his blood justifies you, you are saved. Romans 5:9-10
When his life saves you, you are saved. Romans 5:9-10
When the Lord becomes your light, you are saved. Psalms 27:1
When the Lord becomes your strength, you are saved. Psalms 118:14
When the Lord becomes your song, you are saved. Psalms 118:14
When you are delivered from your times of trouble, you are saved. Isaiah 33:2
When you are delivered from your enemies, you are saved. Psalms 44:7; Genesis 45:7
When you are sanctified, you are saved. 2 Thessalonians 2:13
When you believe in the truth, you are saved. 2 Thessalonians 2:13
When you walk upright, you are saved. Proverbs 28:18
When you are resurrected, you are saved. 1 Peter 3:21
He that Endures to the End will be Saved.
Matthew 24:13; Mark 13:13
Salvation is an ongoing experience with God. True salvation continually changes your heart to see God as He is. That means He will deliver you many times and restore you back to Himself through acts of salvation. To see Him in that light, you must experience ALL of His salvation.
To be saved is a progression of one who receives ALL the truths of God. So when it's all said and done, you are saved when you ENDURE TO THE END.
1 Peter 1:9 Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.
