What’s it like being God? One could only imagine. We do, however, have some answers because of the words of God that He has planted in our hearts through Jesus Christ. These words join us in experiencing who God is because His words transform us into His likeness and make us one with Him.
Through His word and the working of His Spirit, we get an idea of what it’s like to be faithful like God.
God is and remains faithful. This is a truth that must be acknowledged and believed. God remains faithful even when everyone else is not. No matter what the devil says, what people say about Him, or how people misinterpret Him, God remains faithful to His Word, and that will never change. He is a true believer and abides by the truth that empowers the entire kingdom of God. He will not turn from following and believing in Himself.
So what about us?
Question
How do you remain faithful like God?
Answer
To answer the question of how we remain faithful, we need to answer the question of how God remains faithful. Both answers will be the same.
God is a believer in Himself and cannot deny Himself. He believes in His word and His Son, Jesus Christ. Therefore, He remains faithful in everything He believes. If we believe His word and in His Son, Jesus Christ, as He does, we also will not deny Him and will remain faithful to everything He says and requires of us.
In simplicity, we remain faithful because we stop denying God and believe and yield to His words.
Explanation
God cannot deny Himself. He believes His word is true, so He obeys everything He says. So imagine what happens if we also believe every word of God is true and obey it as the truth.
2 Timothy 2:11-13
It is a faithful saying:
If we have died with Him, we shall also live with Him:
If we suffer, we shall also reign with Him:
If we deny Him, He also will deny us:
If we believe not, He still abides faithful: He cannot deny Himself.
Why is God’s word so important to your life? God’s word makes you like Him, a true believer who cannot deny Him. When you believe like God, you will die with Him and live with Him. You will suffer with Him and reign with Him. And most of all, you will believe everything He says to you and will never deny Him in your life. When this happens, you will be faithful to God in all things and remain faithful just like Him.
What to do
Believe that every word of God is true, and do not deny God.
