In the heart of David was a great desire to be in the right meditation before God. He wanted to meditate in his heart on what was acceptable to God. So from a heart that was after God, he prayed,
“Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer.”
It was later in his writings that he revealed what the acceptable meditation of the heart is,
“My mouth shall speak wisdom; the meditation of my heart shall be understanding.”
It is truly the will of God to meditate on the things you understand.
